Programs
Throughout the duration of MCMP events, programs and/or classes, there are opportunities for photographic and video coverage by MCMP which may include your participation or observance of the activity. MCMP reserves the right to use the photos and video at its discretion for media coverage and promotional materials, including broadcasts, reports, publications, social media and marketing materials of MCMP. If you do not wish to be photographed or video recorded at the event, please let the photographer or videographer know prior to being photographed or videotaped. MCMP shall otherwise assume that it has your permission to photograph or video you and/or your child's involvement and participation in this activity. Forest Babies
Join Park staff for Forest Babies, a program for your youngest ones, ages 1-3 years old. We will explore the trails at Ford Nature Center and create a simple nature craft. The Ford Nature Center "Winter Talks" series invites you to join Gary Davenport, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, to learn the basics about mushrooms and other fungi, their roles in nature, which ones grow in Mill Creek MetroParks, and how to get involved in volunteer community science opportunities. January Full Moon Hike - Wolf Moon
Join Park staff for a moon-lit evening hike on the night of the January Wolf Moon. Meet at the Collier Preserve Lower Parking Lot (2819 W Western Reserve Rd in Canfield). Parking is limited so please carpool, one vehicle per group. Be prepared for a moderate 1 to 2-mile hike over grassy, bumpy terrain. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight if you have one. Cabin Fever!
Feeling like you are stuck inside too much? Need to get out for a bit? Join a park educator at the Education Building next to Ford Nature Center to create a natural bird feeder. After crafting our feeders, we will stroll around the paths hanging them along the trail. Dress for the weather, approximately 0.5 miles over flat terrain.
