Programs

Throughout the duration of MCMP events, programs and/or classes, there are opportunities for photographic and video coverage by MCMP which may include your participation or observance of the activity. MCMP reserves the right to use the photos and video at its discretion for media coverage and promotional materials, including broadcasts, reports, publications, social media and marketing materials of MCMP. If you do not wish to be photographed or video recorded at the event, please let the photographer or videographer know prior to being photographed or videotaped. MCMP shall otherwise assume that it has your permission to photograph or video you and/or your child's involvement and participation in this activity. Youth Soccer League (Ages 6-12) *SPRING*

Join us for Youth Soccer League this Spring! This league will run for 7-weeks, ending with a single-elimination tournament on June 14th. Participants will receive a MCMP-branded uniform (top only), one pair of black socks, and an MCMP water bottle and drawstring bag. Shoes/cleats, shin guards, and mouthpieces are not provided by Mill Creek MetroParks. Cleats must be non-metal tips. Shin guards and mouth pieces can be purchased at the Wick Recreation Area team shop. Participants will be placed in an appropriate age group depending on the number of registrations. Registration deadline is April 20, 2025. Cost is $90 for Mahoning County residents, $100 for non-Mahoning County residents. Call Wick Recreation Area for more details.

NFL Flag Football Cheer Squad (Ages 3-12) *SPRING*

Join us for NFL Flag Football Cheer Squad this Spring! The cheer squad will cheer at the NFL Flag Football games on Saturdays from May 3rd - June 14th. Participants will receive a MCMP-branded uniform (top and bottom), one pair of pom-poms, and an MCMP water bottle and drawstring bag. Footwear is not provided by Mill Creek MetroParks. Registration deadline is April 20, 2025. Cost is $90 for Mahoning County residents, $100 for non-Mahoning County residents. Call Wick Recreation Area for more details.

Women's Par 3 Golf League *SPRING/SUMMER*

Join us for the Women's Par 3 Golf League! This league is for women ages 18 and older. This league begins on May 6, 2025, leading to a season-ending tournament on July 29, 2025. Groups will begin play shotgun-style and will alternate play between the front and back 9-holes each week. Participants will receive a MCMP-branded golf top. Additional golf clothing and accessories may be purchased at the Wick Recreation Area team shop. Registration deadline is May 6, 2025. Rock the Park - a Geological Exploration of Mill Creek Park

Ever wonder how Mill Creek Park was formed? For much of geologic history, Ohio was underwater and near the equator! Join us on the Cohasset Express Trolley as we travel back over 300 million years and explore the formation of the Park throughout geologic time. Learn about the bedrock of the Park and how the Ice Age shaped the Park that we all love. Where possible, we will hop off to investigate geologic features up close. Boaters Education Course

Join us for a one day, 8-hour class in boating and water safety designed and presented by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Division of Watercraft. This course covers the fundamentals of safe boating including state-required equipment, watercraft laws, navigation rules of the road, basic safety and risk management, and aids to navigation. A proficiency exam will be issued at the end of the class, and those who pass the exam will obtain a lifetime boating license that satisfies the Ohio Boater Education Requirement. **Anyone born on or after January 1, 1982 is required to have a boating license if they are going to operate a vessel more than 10 horsepower, including jet skis.** Online pre-registration is required.
