Programs

Throughout the duration of MCMP events, programs and/or classes, there are opportunities for photographic and video coverage by MCMP which may include your participation or observance of the activity. MCMP reserves the right to use the photos and video at its discretion for media coverage and promotional materials, including broadcasts, reports, publications, social media and marketing materials of MCMP. If you do not wish to be photographed or video recorded at the event, please let the photographer or videographer know prior to being photographed or videotaped. MCMP shall otherwise assume that it has your permission to photograph or video you and/or your child's involvement and participation in this activity. July Full Moon Hike: The Buck Moon

Join Park Educators for a moon-lit evening walk through Collier Preserve and enjoy nature's sounds and sights under the Full Buck Moon! Calling all 1st-3rd graders! Join our new program - Nature Explorers - where each month we will explore nature through experiments and hands-on activities. This month is Bubble Science! Walk with a Geologist: Mill Creek Furnace

Ever wonder what the Mill Creek Furnace is about? Join a Park Educator and travel back in time to learn the history and the geology of the area. Starting at Pioneer Pavilion, we will enjoy a moderate 2 mile walk to the Lily Pond enjoying the sights and sounds nature has to offer, while possibly gaining a new perspective of the Park. Coffee With the Birds: Thrushes

This month's mini-lesson focuses on thrushes - birds of unassuming plumage yet gifted with beautiful and often otherworldly voices. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate with a bird themed mini lesson. Then enjoy guided birdwatching at the feeders outside Nancy's Nook at the Ford Nature Center.
