Throughout the duration of MCMP events, programs and/or classes, there are opportunities for photographic and video coverage by MCMP which may include your participation or observance of the activity. MCMP reserves the right to use the photos and video at its discretion for media coverage and promotional materials, including broadcasts, reports, publications, social media and marketing materials of MCMP. If you do not wish to be photographed or video recorded at the event, please let the photographer or videographer know prior to being photographed or videotaped. MCMP shall otherwise assume that it has your permission to photograph or video you and/or your child's involvement and participation in this activity. Youth Archery Camp (Ages 10-12) *AUGUST SESSION*

Join us for Archery Camp at the MetroParks Farm this summer! The August session of archery camp will be held on August 10th-13th. During the 4-day camp, participants receive one-on-one instruction that provides them with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a compound bow. Location: MetroParks Farm Archery Range in Canfield, OH. Registration deadline is August 10, 2025. Cost: $60 Mahoning County residents, $70 non-Mahoning County residents. Noticing Nature

New! Slow down and discover the natural world around you during this relaxed, two-hour exploration around Lanterman's Mill Overflow Parking Lot and surrounding trails. Led by an educator, this slow-paced walk invites participants to observe and discuss all things nature-related. Together, we'll notice and explore geology, trees, plants, insects, animals, and the many small details often missed in everyday life. Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to share what they see, exchange insights, and enjoy conversations inspired by the wonders around us. Participants are welcome to join in the discovery, ask questions, share observations, and connect more deeply with the outdoors. Science Class (For Adults!): Bats & Acoustic Monitoring

Why let the kids have all the fun? The Science Class series invites ages 18+ to dig in to their natural curiosity and explore the living world with a Park Educator through hands on learning. Think of a seventh grade science class for adults! This month we will be learning about bats. We'll discuss bat physiology, ecology, and behavior on a stroll around Vickers Nature Preserve.
