Programs

Throughout the duration of MCMP events, programs and/or classes, there are opportunities for photographic and video coverage by MCMP which may include your participation or observance of the activity. MCMP reserves the right to use the photos and video at its discretion for media coverage and promotional materials, including broadcasts, reports, publications, social media and marketing materials of MCMP. If you do not wish to be photographed or video recorded at the event, please let the photographer or videographer know prior to being photographed or videotaped. MCMP shall otherwise assume that it has your permission to photograph or video you and/or your child's involvement and participation in this activity. Science Class (For Adults!): Stream Macroinvertebrates

Why let the kids have all the fun? The Science Class series invites ages 18+ to dig in to their natural curiosity and explore the living world with a Park Educator through hands on learning. Think of a seventh grade science class for adults! This season we will be learning about macroinvertebrates and what they can tell us about stream health. Join us for Farm Camp at the MetroParks Farm! The August session of farm camp will be held on June 8th-11th. During the 4-day camp, participants will learn the fundamentals of various sports including archery, fishing, and disc golf. In addition to learning sports fundamentals, all participants will receive a MCMP-branded water bottle, camp sticker and drawstring bag. The registration deadline is June 8, 2026. Cost: $60 Mahoning County residents, $70 non-Mahoning County residents. Call Wick Recreation Area for more details.

Discover Ford Nature Center! Join Park Educators for a showcase of our programming including wildlife touch table and program, hands-on geology spotlight, trolley rides, nature crafts and games, guided hikes, bat walk, trail scavenger hunt, fire building with hot dog roasting, and more! We'll end the evening at sunset with an outdoor showing of ODNR's documentary Ohio: Wild at Heart.
