Throughout the duration of MCMP events, programs and/or classes, there are opportunities for photographic and video coverage by MCMP which may include your participation or observance of the activity. MCMP reserves the right to use the photos and video at its discretion for media coverage and promotional materials, including broadcasts, reports, publications, social media and marketing materials of MCMP. If you do not wish to be photographed or video recorded at the event, please let the photographer or videographer know prior to being photographed or videotaped. MCMP shall otherwise assume that it has your permission to photograph or video you and/or your child's involvement and participation in this activity. Rock the Park - a Geological Exploration of Mill Creek Park

Ever wonder how Mill Creek Park was formed? For much of geologic history, Ohio was underwater and near the equator! Join us on the Cohasset Express Trolley as we travel back over 300 million years and explore the formation of the Park throughout geologic time. Learn about the bedrock of the Park and how the Ice Age shaped the Park that we all love. Where possible, we will hop off to investigate geologic features up close. Wildflower Wander

Explore native wildflowers and other plants with Gary Davenport, an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist and park volunteer, on this mid-morning leisurely hike through Hitchcock Woods. This month, we will look for more of the Blue-Bells, Wild Leeks, and Yellow Trout Lily that dominate the landscape, talk about why they do that, and look for anything else that may be popping up. Meet at the Hitchcock Woods parking lot. Please wear boots or appropriate footwear for wet conditions. Registration required. Please register by 5/9 online or call 330.740.7107 ext. 129. No walk-ins. MetroCyclers Bike Trip

Meet at East Golf Hike and Bike Trail parking lot across from Mill Creek Golf Course for a bike trip. Bring your own helmet and bike. Moderate 8-10 mile ride, some inclines. Members receive 6 guided cycling trips within Mill Creek MetroParks, a cycling shirt, back pack, water bottle, and sticker for your helmet. Membership $50R, $60NR.
